Future Cancels Charlottesville Show One Week After White Supremacy March

Future has cancelled an upcoming concert that he was scheduled for in Charlottesville, Virginia one week after white supremacists marched in the town and caused chaos.

His show was supposed to take place on Saturday (Aug. 19) at University of Virginia's John Paul Jones Arena. Future also had another concert in Virginia Beach, Virginia that was scheduled for Sunday (Aug. 20) at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater. But, that one isn't happening anymore, either.

The rapper tweeted his decision to millions of his fans. "Out of respect for the tragic events I felt it wasn't rite [sic] to perform at this time. Please understand my heart mean well VA," Future said. "VA is important to me & always will be. I'm comin' very soon, my word! Love Forever."

Even though his concerts are cancelled, Future is still making sure that he helps the small town that's still scarred by the white supremacists' protest last week. Future's "FreeWishes Foundation will connect with the University of Virginia for an unknown charitable contribution," Virginia's News 3 CBS reported. Respect.
