Solange Launches BlackPlanet Page, Sparks Album Rumors

Solange's latest project has fans convinced A Seat at the Table follow-up is on the way.

On Tuesday (February 26), the "Cranes In The Sky" singer announced the launch of her new page on BlackPlanet, an African-American social media platform for matchmaking, job postings, and social and political discussions. "Taking ovaa www.blackplanet.com/solange/ 🖤🖤 new world wiide web," Solange captioned a video showing her gif- and photo-filled BlackPlanet page.

Solange's BlackPlanet Instagram announcement came just one day after she returned to the social media platform following a near five-month hiatus, which led fans to speculate about her highly-anticipated fourth studio album. "Gvhcvbcmhjbljjcjcvijvvjjv WE GETTING THE ALBUM SOON !!!" one fan wrote. Another fan added, "I think this is her track list for her new album y’all," speculating that the text shown on her BlackPlanet page represent titles of songs from her forthcoming project.

Solange previously discussed the follow-up to her 2016 album, A Seat at The Table, in an interview with T Magazine last fall. While she said the release date had not been set, the 32-year-old singer admitted the project was almost finished, and hinted that it could arrive at any time.
