The album, which might be called Dance In Your Darkest Moments, will serve as the follow-up to his 2005 LP Lost And Found featuring his single "Switch" featuring Elephant plus other collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Robin Thicke. Smith hasn't dropped another album since, but he has hopped on several international hits with Nicky Jam, Bomba Estereo, Marc Anthony and Bad Bunny. In 2020, Smith made his comeback to Hip-Hop with Joyner Lucas on their song "Will (Remix)" and has been cooking up ever since.

Earlier this year, Smith released new music as part of the soundtrack for Bad Boys: Ride or Die. His song "Light Em Up" featuring Sean Paul appears on the OST along with other tracks by BIA, JID, Becky G, Black Eyed Peas and more. Not long after the movie debuted, Smith performed his latest single "You Can Make It" with Fridayy, the Sunday Service choir and Kirk Franklin at the BET Awards 2024.
