Emma Stone Marries 'SNL' Writer Dave McCary: Report

Emma Stone is a married woman!

The Birdman actress has tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Dave McCary, according to multiple outlets.

Confirmed by Page Six, the 31-year-old and the Saturday Night Live segment director wed earlier this month, weeks after the couple had been photographed wearing matching gold wedding bands. Per the site, Stone and McCary had supposedly intended on getting married in March but had to change their plans due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Speculations about the couple’s marriage first came in May. At the time, as Entertainment Tonight pointed out, the Favourite star was seen wearing what looked to be a gold band on her ring finger during a video interview with Reese Witherspoon. As yet, neither Stone nor McCary has confirmed their union to the public.

Stone and the 35-year-old had started dating for three months before confirming their romance in October 2017. They first met on the set of the late-night sketch comedy show toward the end of 2016. Stone served as guest host for the program, during which she acted in the McCary-directed skit “Wells for Boys.” She also supported her boyfriend’s directorial debut at the premiere screening of the film Brigsby Bear in July 2017.

In December 2019, McCary announced his engagement to the Oscar-winning actress on Instagram along with a photo of Stone showing off her stunning diamond ring alongside her husband-to-be.

Prior to her romance with McCary, Stone was in a longtime relationship with her The Amazing Spider-Man castmate, Andrew Garfield, whom she dated from 2011 to 2015.
