Blue Ivy Carter has made history –– again.
The eldest daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, made history at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (September 12) after “Brown Skin Girl” won the award for Best Cinematography. The nine-year-old is now the youngest winner in the award show’s history, sharing the award with her mom, and song collaborators Wizkid and SAINt JHN.
Blue Ivy graces the track with her voice, singing the chorus at the end of the song. It’s not the first time she’s been featured on her music icon parents’ songs.
As an infant, she was featured on Jay-Z’s “Glory” and on Beyoncé’s song entitled “Blue” which was featured on the singer’s 2013 self-titled album. She also hit a freestyle on Jay’s bonus track of his 13th studio album 4:44.
