Wendy Williams broke her silence on her ongoing medical complications after spending months away from her talk show.

The 57-year-old tv host took to Instagram to say that her recovery process from a breakthrough Covid-19 case in September and medical complications of a thyroid condition is “taking longer than expected” and that there’s no set plans for her to return to host her show just yet.

“HOW YOU DOIN’? I MISS YOU ALL! As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. I’m making progress but it’s just one of those things that’s taken longer than we expected,” she wrote on Instagram

“I’m a woman of a certain age,” she continued. “I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I’m ready. I want to thank all of my staff and our guest hosts for stepping up and stepping in while I can’t be there.”

Williams went on to also thank her loyal fans. “I have heard your prayers and comments and feel all the love!” she wrote. “You are everything to me,” she added.

“I love spending my mornings with you all and I’m doing everything I can to get back to work, but right now Wendy has to focus on Wendy,” she wrote.

Michael Rapaport, Bill Bellamy, and Jerry Springer are slated as guests hosts in November while Wendy continues to recover.
